This is my 5th year guiding. I have outdoor experience spanning 26 years of hiking,
camping, spin fishing,
tying flies and fly fishing the waters of New York, Pennsylvania,
Maine and Montana.
People ask, "Why would you leave Montana?" I honestly reply,
"In the Adirondack Mountains, humans are still #1 in the food chain, in the Rockies--we
aren't."
I teach English 11 and 12 at Northeastern Clinton Central School on the border of NY,
Canada and Vermont.
My wife, Sara, is working toward her certification in speech-language pathology at The
College of St. Rose.
We were married on July 16, 2005 in Montana. We tied the knot, both literally and
figuratively,
as we fished our way west and back in July 2005.
Sara comes from a Montana hunting and fishing family. Yet, she never did much in the way of
hiking,
hunting or fishing.
One of our first dates was ice fishing. She didn't want me to give up a day of fishing, so
she accepted
the fact that she would have to bait her own hook, take off her fish, and later (when back
at my house)
learn to clean them. Her family heard about this and, with humor, accused me of turning
their daughter
into a redneck.
My reply was, "It took a NY boy to turn a Montana girl into a redneck?"
Today, Sara is one of my first fishing partners and chooses outdoor activities for
our "quality time". I am one of the luckiest men on Earth.
Women, children and men have all enjoyed my ability to communicate with patience and
confidence. I have a passion for teaching and sharing my love of the outdoors and
especially fly fishing.
Thanks for inquiring about my service. I am looking forward to working for you!
Sincerely,
